My name is Sithee Povey, the founder of Amara. Today, I am eager to share with you the journey that led to the birth of Amara—a boutique wedding stationery business where we create not just invitations but timeless keepsakes that celebrate the union of hearts and cultures.

The story of Amara is a narrative of love, art, and the intertwining of cultures. It began whilst planning my own wedding. As a British woman embracing the rich heritage of Hindu culture, I pursued fresh wedding stationery that could reflect the vibrant fusion my partner and I represented. I was searching for something beyond stationery but a narrative of our unique love story, a keepsake that our guests could cherish forever.

When Passion Encounters Purpose

The joy and satisfaction from this personal endeavour sparked a realisation: there must be other couples like us, wanting to narrate their own unique stories through their wedding invitations. This realisation planted the seeds for ‘Perfect Pen Designs,’ which, after much growth, has blossomed into Amara.

‘Amara’ means everlasting—a name befitting a brand that aspires to create invitations that are not merely for a day but stand as a lasting testament to a couple’s love story. At Amara, we are dedicated to crafting luxurious, hand-crafted Indian wedding invitations and stationery that are contemporary yet timeless, personalised to capture each couple’s individual journey.
